Amazon, the most dog-friendly workplace, makes every day “bring your dog to work” day

Imagine you can bring your dog to work, your dog is welcome everywhere he goes and can get to meet other doggie friends at a dog park on the rooftop!

We are talking about Amazon which has been dog-friendly since the early days of operation. It all started when a husband and wife team brought their Welsh corgi, Rufus, to work and the cute dog instantly became a productive member who clicked the computer mouse to launch some earliest pages of amazon.com

There are over 7,000 dogs registered (as of 2019) to come to work with Amazonians in Seattle, with around 500 coming in on any given day. Besides hanging with their beloved parents, dogs can have lots to do. Reception desks are their go-to places to get treats, rooftop is where they can run around with fake fire hydrants (for them to pee on? haha). Outside of the campus nearby, there’s a community off-leash dog park for everyone to enjoy!

It’s exciting to see companies recognising the benefits of lower stress and boost morale with pets in the workplace, and implementing dog-friendly policy. We hope to see more of these in Hong Kong!

All dogs are welcome to snag some snack from front desks every day they walk into the offices.
